The dual bidirectional IIC bus buffering relay is compatible with the IIC bus and the System Management Bus (SMBus). This device contains two identical bidirectional open drain buffering circuits, which can expand 120 and similar bus systems without reducing system performance. Due to the limitation of the 12C bus capacitance to 400 pF, the number of devices and bus length are limited. Using PCA9515A, system designers can isolate the two halves of the bus to accommodate more 12C devices or longer cable lengths. Can achieve communication of different levels of IIC devices on both sides of the buffer relay, such as 5V and 3.3V signal level IC communication. It is also possible to achieve communication rate matching between IIC devices on both sides of the buffer relay, such as 400KHz on one side and 100KHz on the other side, but the maximum communication rate of the system will be slightly less than 100KHz because the buffer relay has delay.
